Thefts of spare wheels from pick-ups, van and light commercial vehicles is a relatively easy crime to commit and is on the increase. Replacing a spare wheel and tyre is an expensive exercise and extremely inconvenient if you need the use of a spare and it is not there.

We are pleased to introduce a range of spare wheel locks that will present a potential thief with a really difficult locking system to try and remove.

Most vehicles fitted with a spare wheel that is located under the rear of the vehicle (4x4s & pick-ups) usually store the spare wheel in a cradle that is raised and lowered by a cable assembly. Vehicle manufacturers using this method often incorporate a locking system, however this is easily defeated when a thief gets under the rear of the vehicle and simply cuts the cable which then automatically lowers the cradle. Our spare wheel lock actually locks the wheel to the underside of the vehicle via a bracket which in some cases we supply to ensure a very high level of security.
